Nice post Jim. He was one of a kind...I was on the beach adjacent to his home the morning of the day he died...then Rod was the 1st camera on the scene for CNN that night. It was a sad day...spending a few weeks in Hyannis Port those last weeks of his life I began to feel this overwhelming feeling of what an amazing person he was...so much more than the caricature I thought I knew. I felt his loss immediately & deeply...reading this list reminds me of all the things I believe so deeply in & have directly benefited from (working in nonprofit). Thanks again!
